The nursery at Victory Baptist is well staffed with godly people who are trustworthy. Each nursery worker is carefully screened by background checks to ensure the safety of your children. We work hard to maintain a clean, safe, and fun environment. Our goal with the nursery is to permit you to be able to fully focus on the worship services. We will endeavour to work with you as much as possible to accommodate your needs and wishes with regard to your infant children.
On Sundays, Victory Baptist Church has an age-appropriate teaching time for all children at 10:00 a.m. During the Morning Worship Service, we have separate children's programs for ages newborn through Grade 4. Here, our leaders provide kids a fun and profitable time learning great stories of the Bible with a focus on Christ. Children are an active, vital part of our local body. Even at a young age, we teach our children to worship God daily by devoting themselves to the Word and to prayer. Teaching is balanced with snacks, games, crafts, and story time to keep children engaged. We partner with our parents as they raise their children for the Lord, so that God will bring forth a harvest in the lives of the children.
Men and women at Victory Baptist Church have many opportunities to serve God and others. It is our desire for every member to live out the full potential of their God given gifts, which God has given. We are dedicated to helping members grow in their relationship with God, but also to live a life that is continually being renewed in Christ. Each men and women's ministry is centered on building a personal relationship with Christ, serving others, and enjoying the Christian life. Victory Baptist Church has limitless opportunities for growth through exciting ministries that encompass all ages.
The women of Victory Baptist Church fill many vital roles in countless ministries with their gifts and talents. From teaching Sunday school to weekly Bible studies, from decorating for special holidays to planning special events, women from all walks of life are spiritually growing together through encouragement, support, and prayer. Something our women do especially well is in the area of hospitality. If someone is facing a difficult time, it is not long till meals start arriving until that person is back on their feet again.
At Victory Baptist Church, men are encouraged to become spiritual leaders in the home, to create stronger marriages and families, and to use their God-given talents in a variety of ways. Men of all ages and backgrounds get connected and grow spiritually through weekly Bible studies, or special activities. They are also highly involved in teaching, speaking in outreach ministries, greeting visitors, music, and providing security during our worship service. Our men are known for their willingness to help when people are moving, or if there is a special work project someone is tackling. All men can use their God-given gifts for the Lord here at Victory Baptist.
The older adults in our church are called "Adults Young at Heart" and they live up to their name. The Adults Young at Heart meet once a month for a delicious potluck buffet followed by a devotional. This meeting provides a circle of friends and fellowship, but is not limited to only older adults; however, it is an adults only group. The purpose of this group is to address the social, spiritual, and emotional needs of this numerically growing and essential section of our church family. They are greatly involved in our church ministries and helping others.
Victory Baptist Church will hold a week-long VBS open to all children (K-Grade 7) from all areas of Port Coquitlam. Christ told the disciples to let the children come to Him. We believe that children are a very important part of our ministry. Through Scripture memorization, Bible lessons and songs, children will learn important truths about God and His Word.
The Great Commission is given to the church by Christ to make disciples of all nations. Victory Baptist Church desires for all nations to magnify the name of Jesus Christ and to come to know Him. We support many missionaries around the world. In our services and ministries, the message of the Bible is the centrepiece, and it is our mission to give that message to the whole world.
MMBOX Ministry is engaged in creating compelling videos and subtitles that introduce English sermons and Christian movies to a Japanese audience, all freely accessible on YouTube. The heart of MMBOX Ministry is to reach the Japanese community with the Gospel. Additionally, it contributes to the global spread of Christianity through the project, ChristianCliparts.net. This initiative provides free Christian clipart for everyone and consists of a library of over 600 illustrations and 17 videos.
